A classical singer to perform beautiful music for any occasion

Singer for Weddings, Funerals and Corporate Events. Sydney, Hunter Valley, Northern Rivers NSW

Sydney Wagner Society

On June the 14th I sang for the Wagner Society at the Goethe institut in Woollhara..... the sing of my life! Finally got to perform "Mild und Leise" with the wonderful Bradley Gilchrist.

I was only slightly terrified as the room was packed full of Wagnerphiles but they were very kind to me and I loved singing for them once again. Thanks to the wonderful Leona Geeves for having back again and again, I love singing Wagner!!!

Bangalow Music Festival

I have been asked to sing at the prestigious Bangalow Music Festival next month for their gala performance, I am very excited!

I will be singing "Pace, pace" from Verdi's La Forza del Destino, as well as the beautiful Wagner lieder, "Träume", from his Wesendonck Lieder.

It's on Thursday, August 13th at the ANI hall in Bangalow, should be lot's of fun! You can book tickets through the Southern Cross Soloists website: www.southernxsoloists.com

A busy week.....

Last Wednesday started with the lovely Janet Swain of Song Dynasty fame call me in the morning to invite me along to observe her choir rehearsals. It was fun! I really want my daughter to join. The energy was buzzing because the launch concert for Song Dynasty will be coming up on the 29th of March in St. Martins church hall where I will be performing from Puccini's La Boheme "Si, mi chiamano Mimi.". Very excited about that one!

Met some new students through the week, and on Saturday flew back to Sydney to perform with Javier Vilarino for Vavachi entertainment. The gig was at the MCA in the old building upstairs where we performed for a very lovely crowd at an awards dinner for Lockheed Martin. They took very good care of us, even if (hilariously) our green room was the cleaners room.....

Cherry-picker aside, the gig was awesome and it was lovely to see the other half of "Due Voci" and have a great sing in a great venue.

I also did some recordings of more modern pieces as per the tastes of brides from the Gold Coast and Byron Bay region. After wrestling with my old computer (computer 1 Emilie 0), I simply recorded straight in to the laptop with backing tracks. Not too bad I think....?!

Tuesday saw me rehearsing as the guest soloist with the Mullum Community Choir followed by a piano and singing recital at the Coolamon Villas to entertain the residents for St. Patricks Day. I turned down a piece of green cake. Just couldn't do it.

We're up and running!

After seven weeks in our new home in Mullumbimby, Northern Rivers, it feels like we have done so much already! I have given two charity concerts and have a few more planned over the next few months. It has been great chatting to Sarah from 16 strings to devise a more contemporary program for brides on their wedding day. My wonderful friend Robbie Shakespeare came to visit last weekend and took some amazing photos for me, I am so grateful. See below for his website, I can't rave about his work enough!!

I have started advertising on the easyweddings and i-do websites, casting the net as a wedding singer as far as Brisbane and the Gold Coast as well as the Byron Bay area and the Northern Rivers. The feedback for my website from all the lovely celebrants and string groups has been really positive and I look forward to working with those people soon!!
